Kissing Briefly, Under the Mistletoe Tree: A Poetic Conversation is a merry evening of poetry readings featuring the work of renowned poets Dorothea Lasky, David Blair, Marc Vincenz, and Dara Dixon-Barres. Join us for this festive, merry evening at Studio 9!

David Blair
David Blair is the author of five books of poetry and a collection of essays. He lives in
Somerville, Massachusetts, with his wife and daughter and teaches poetry in the MFA
Writing Program at the University of New Hampshire. He is the author of five books of
poetry and a collection of essays, his most recent book being True Figures: Selected Shorter
Poems and Prose Poems, 1998-2021, which was published by MadHat Press in 2022.

Dorothea Lasky (Dottie)
Dorothea Lasky is the author of eight books of poetry and prose, including, The Shining,
and the forthcoming, MEMORY.

Dara Barrois/Dixon
Dara Barrois/Dixon, formerly Dara Wier, lives and works in western Massachusetts. Her
most recent book is TOLSTOY KILLED ANNA KARENINA and chapbooks, TWO
POEMS and NINE. Forthcoming is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE MYSTICAL
EXPERIENCES FOR ASTRONAUTS from Conduit Books.

Marc Vincenz
Marc Vincenz is an award-winning poet, fiction writer, journalist, translator, editor, musician
and artist. He has published over 40 books of poetry, fiction and translation. His most recent
book of poetry is The Mayfly Codex.

Studio 9 is located at 18 Veazie St, adjacent to the Porches Inn.
You are welcome to park in the following locations:
– The small lot across the street
– The community lot nearest the UNO Park on River St
– East side of Veazie Street (same side as the studio)
– or on the Porches side of River St.

Do not park in the following locations:
– Porches Guest lots
– The downhill side of Veazie
– Eastbound side of River Street (the side that Mass MoCA is on)
